KZN metro cop shot during protest over new councillor

A metro police officer is fighting for his life in hospital after being shot as protests raged across parts of Inanda‚ KwaMashu and Ntuzuna in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday. Dozens of people were reportedly injured when they clashed with police in protests against newly elected councillors.Affected wards include Ntuzuma’s wards 42‚ 43‚ 38 and 107; Inanda’s wards 53‚ 55 and 57; and Kwamashu’s wards 40‚ 41‚ 46 and 47.
