The gang rape that never was

KwaZulu-Natal police are no longer investigating the alleged gang rape of a schoolgirl after a medical examination showed that the Grade 7 North Coast pupil had not been raped. "According to KwaDukuza police, the alleged victim came to the police station to report a rape. She was taken to hospital for medical attention and it was discovered that she was not raped, so no case was opened," said provincial police spokesman Captain Nqobile Gwala.
