Family friendly restaurant Panarottis had a number of tots - and their parents - in a tizz this week when the youngsters stumbled across a raunchy computer game in one of its play areas. Parent Lucas Lemotlo called Radio 702 on Wednesday morning and complained of the incident on-air.He had visited the restaurant in Newmarket Mall‚ Alberton‚ to celebrate his child's birthday on Tuesday night.Lemotlo said that his children complained of the computer game which contained pornographic visuals‚ and that the children of other diners also emerged from the play area with the same story. He told TMG Digital: “What I can tell you is that it was not just my family. There were three other families with children there. There were eight kids there under the age of 13 [that saw the game's visuals].”Lemotlo said he and the other parents complained and were told by management that the game machines‚ on which the problematic game was found‚ was not just in the Panarottis Pizza Pasta store‚ but also in the mall's Spur Steak Ranch and John Dory's Fish‚ Grill & Sushi.“The reaction of the managers there was so casual. It was shocking‚” he said. With no significant assistance from the restaurant's manager‚ the parents then spoke with the owner‚ Lemotlo said.Newmarket Mall Panarottis owner Brett Milligan confirmed the incident.“It's like an arcade game machine. The supplier told us they were all kid-friendly games. On one of these machines there was a game with adult content on it.“We bought the game machines from [the supplier] on the premise that [the games] were kid-friendly‚” Milligan said.Though the games on most of the machines were squeaky clean‚ one machine contained an adult game.“[That] game should never have been on the machine‚” Milligan said.“We've taken all the machines out of all our stores [including the Newmarket Mall Spur and John Dory's]‚” he added.Milligan has apologised to all the affected parents and undertaken to provide counselling to the children if necessary.Holding company The Spur Corporation has been approached for comment.Lemotlo is also awaiting a response from the Spur Corporation...
