Varsity violence: Settle soon or we'll all regret it

Universities are fast reaching a tipping point as the increasingly violent campaign for free tertiary education - marked by arson attacks that have caused hundreds of millions of rands of damage - continues to rage on campuses across the country. For some universities, those at which exams are scheduled to start soon, a decision must be made about whether to continue with the academic programme this year, strive to complete it in December or extend it into 2017.
