TUT guard arrested for attempted murder after student shot with live ammo

A Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) security guard who allegedly shot a protesting student with live ammunition on Thursday has been arrested. Police spokeswoman Sally de Beer said the guard was arrested for attempted murder late on Thursday following the shooting of the student at the main campus.
