Western Cape universities push to salvage the academic year

A private security vehicle was stoned and overturned as universities in Cape Town teetered on the brink of “no return” if classes do not resume on Monday. Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) pushed ahead with plans to hold classes and write exams at the Wingfield Naval Base.But there were reports of violence on campus early on Monday.
