Critically injured man freed from bakkie

A man was critically injured this afternoon when a bakkie rear-ended a truck on the N1 north highway before the Botha turn-off in Centurion‚ Gauteng. The truck and bakkie were in one of the left lanes of the highway‚ said ER24 in a statement.When paramedics arrived they found a man lying trapped inside his bakkie in a critical condition.Rescue services had to use the jaws-of-life equipment in a 30-minute operation to free the man.Once freed‚ paramedics provided him with advanced life support interventions.
