Air passengers delayed at Cape Town airport

Travellers at Cape Town International Airport experienced delays on Thursday ahead of the long weekend‚ with Kulula airline having to apologise to its customers.

"We're sorry for the delays being experienced at Cape Town Airport‚ due to a fuelling issue. Our aircrafts will be taking to the skies soon!‚" the airline tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

Commenting on reports that there was a technical problem at the fuel depot‚ Dawid le Roux said‚ "Update on delayed flights. Apparently there is fuel‚ just no way to get it to the planes. Broken pipes and fittings. SorryKulula #ACSA #CTInt."

A frustrated sounding Claire Lownie commented‚ "ACSA doesn't have a clue what is going on. Called through and the agent had to contact her supervisor to confirm there's a problem".
