One killed‚ two injured in public works office shooting

Tragedy struck a public works office in Pietermaritzburg on Friday morning after one person was shot dead and two were injured.

Police confirmed the incident but could not provide any more details.

"We confirm the shooting – however our members are still busy at the scene‚" a police spokesman said.

It is believed the incident may be related to a lovers' quarrel.
