Three children killed in shack fire

Five people‚ including three children‚ burnt to death in a fire in an informal settlement in Cape Town on Friday morning.

City of Cape Town spokeswoman Liezl Moodie said emergency services were called out to Nomzamo informal settlement around 7am on Friday.

Two adults‚ a man and a woman‚ two girls and a baby boy died in the fire.

Another 18 people were displaced.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
