People 'missing' after fiery KZN truck smash

The road closure will result in the rerouting of traffic bound for the coast.

Three trucks are understood to have collided and then caught on fire shortly after 5am.

Video footage of the burning vehicles was posted on Twitter by @TrafficSA. 

The N3 Toll Concession tweeted that traffic bound for Durban had been rerouted via the Loskop interchange.

Provincial EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie said that paramedics had treated three people for serious injuries sustained in the crash.

He added that other people were missing and the trucks were still on fire.
