Six men arrested for possession of stolen firearms

Six men were arrested in Johannesburg at the weekend for being in possession of stolen firearms.

Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele said the men were found in possession of three AK47 rifles and three pistols.

“Two of the suspects were arrested in Johannesburg (CBD) and the other four were arrested in Ivory Park‚” Makhubele said.

He said the men will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court within 48 hours.
