Nine people have been killed in an accident involving a minibus and an light duty vehicle near Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal‚ the province’s emergency medical services said on Twitter on Sunday.

Ten people were treated by paramedics‚ it said.

The accident occurred on the Helpmekaar road near St Chads.

No further details were immediately available.
