Man killed in shooting incident in Strydom Park

A man‚ believed to be in his 40s‚ was killed in a shooting incident at the Fabriek and CR Swart intersection in Strydom Park‚ west of Johannesburg‚ on Wednesday afternoon‚ paramedics said.

ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said the body of the man was found lying inside a car parked in the middle of the road.

“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained several gunshot wounds and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately‚ nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.

“The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations‚” Meiring said‚ adding that the road had been closed by police.
