Joburg’s north-eastern suburbs in darkness due to power outage

Johannesburg’s north-eastern suburbs were in darkness on Thursday evening due to the power tripping at the Kelvin Power Station‚ City Power said.

It said technicians were on site attending to the problem‚

“City Power will keep affected customers updated as and when new information becomes available‚” the power utility said.

Areas affected by the power outage are: Highlands North‚ Houghton‚ Glenhazel‚ Orchards‚ Oaklands‚ Melrose Arch/North/Estate‚ Illovo‚ Sandhurst‚ Athol‚ Bramley‚ Kew‚ Wynberg‚ Lombardy‚ Alexandra‚ Saxonwold‚ Killarney‚ Rembrandt Park‚ Abbotsford‚ Birdhaven‚ Percilia Estate‚ Fairway‚ Waverly and Alton Hill.
