The memorial service for Eastern Cape celebrities Siyasanga Kobese‚ Thobani Mseleni and Akhumzi Jezile was under way at the Orient Theatre in East London on Thursday afternoon.

The three and their two friends died on April 28 when a car they were travelling in was involved in an accident between Queenstown and Jamestown.

The service was organised by the Eastern Cape artists in partnership with the provincial department of Sport‚ Recreation‚ Arts and Culture.

Those attending included the families of the victims‚ MEC Pemmy Majodina‚ ANC provincial chairman Oscar Mabuyane and Joyous Celebration co-founder Jabu Hlangwane.
