Two-for-the-price-of-one pizza specials aren’t supposed to include the delivery bike – but a Kenville‚ Durban‚ man bit off more than he can chew.

The pizza purloiner – accused of hijacking a Debonairs scooter driver at knifepoint – has now found himself on the wrong side of the law.

Marshall Security spokesman Kyle van Reenen said that the pizza had been ordered as a lure to get the scooter driver to the hijacking site.

“Reports allege the male suspect ordered a pizza from a local fast food restaurant and when the delivery bike arrived at the listed address‚ the driver was held up at knife point and hijacked. He also took the pizza‚ allegedly.

“We were activated to assist Rentrak vehicle tracking‚ after the motorcycle‚ equipped with a satellite tracking‚ emitted a signal in Kenville.”

He said that the scooter was found off a dirt road near an informal settlement.

“A brief search of a nearby shack revealed a male suspect found in possession of the keys to the motor cycle. The pizza is missing‚” he added.
