Motorbike rider killed in collision with truck in Vereeniging

A male motorbike rider was killed in a collision with a truck in Vereeniging early on Sunday morning‚ paramedics said.

The accident occurred on Houtkop Road near Voortrekker Street. Provincial emergency services declared the man, believed to be in his 40s, dead at the scene.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics‚ but police were on the scene for further investigations‚” said ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen.
