Durban's police bomb squad rushed out to a private college on Tuesday when a threat was reported at the Overport Drive campus.

Students were evacuated but no explosives were found.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane confirmed that members from the Explosives Unit had combed the campus.

"Nothing was found. A case of bomb threat will be opened for investigation‚" he said.
