Wife pours boiling water over 'cheater' husband

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly doused her husband with boiling water after she accused him of cheating.

The Sowetan reported on Thursday that the 48-year-old husband suffered third-degree burns on his genitals.

His wife had accosted him while he was sleeping at their home in Benoni‚ east of Johannesburg‚ two weeks ago.

Police spokesperson Captain Justice Ramaube told Sowetan that Radebe had opened a case. His wife was arrested.

“In as much as we are against the abuse of women and kids‚ we do not encourage the abuse of men and violence against them . . . anyone who breaks the law will be put away.”
