79-year-old man murdered by robbers in Milnerton

A suspect wearing a "police" reflector jacket is among four people arrested in connection with the murder of an elderly man in Milnerton, Cape Town.

The 79-year-old man had been tied up by his attackers on Saturday, said Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana.

Police on patrol apprehended the suspects.

"The members were patrolling near Percival Road when they saw the suspects robbing the victim after they tied him up. One of the suspects wore a reflector jacket that resembles a SAPS issue," Rwexana said in a statement on Sunday.

"The four suspects, three men and a woman aged between 17 and 30, were arrested and a toy gun they used was seized."

The suspects will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to answer to a charge of murder.
