The death of five family members from Montclair in Durban has sent shockwaves across the country.

Since news of Wednesday’s shooting broke, people have taken to social media to express their horror as #Montclairshooting topped Twitter trends.

The spotlight has again been placed on violent crime in South Africa, with many reacting to violent incidents over the past few weeks.

A 41-year-old man, his wife and three children died in the incident.
