A businessperson was found in a field after he had been kidnapped by armed robbers on Saturday evening at home in Polokwane, Limpopo.

“The victim was found unharmed after he was dumped in an open field, a few kilometres outside Polokwane, still tied up and blindfolded,” police spokesperson colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said on Sunday.

“The preliminary police investigations have also revealed that the suspects withdrew an undisclosed amount of money from the victim’s bank account before they left him at that spot.”

The man was reported missing after a house robbery and kidnapping around 9:30pm on Saturday. The suspects held the victim and his employees at gunpoint and ordered them to lie down.

“The suspects robbed the victims of their cellphones, forced the owner inside his Porsche vehicle and drove away, leaving behind the employees.”

The police found the car abandoned near Ivy Park in Polokwane.

The suspects remain at large.
