The East African nation of Rwanda seems to have captured the hearts of some of South Africa's public officials - first finance minister Tito Mboweni and now president Cyril Ramaphosa.
Rwanda made it to the trends list several times last year after Mboweni tweeted about his love for the country. Every time he mentioned how clean it was, Twitter responded. In fact, they even went as far as to nickname Mboweni 'Mr Kigali'.
This time it was Ramaphosa's turn.
While attending a recent ANC rally in Rustenburg in the North West, the president announced plans to emulate Rwandan leader Paul Kagame's successful efforts to clean up the country's streets.
"In Rwanda, one day in every month - whether you are the president or premiers or mayors or municipal managers - everybody wears overalls and cleans the town," said Ramaphosa.
His statements sealed the deal, giving the country the final stamp of approval. And Twitter was there for it.

Humbling remarks by President Ramaphosa addressing #YPOEDGE. “South Africa is currently rated 82/190 countries in ease of doing business. Within 6yrs, President #Kagame we are determined to have caught up with #Rwanda” We also work hard to catch up with S.A GDP per capita one day https://t.co/hC6RHk8lWt
