Twitter reacts to progress in Sindiso Magaqa's case: 'We lost a real soldier'
Former ANC Youth League leader Sindiso Magaqa is dominating Twitter trends following the arrest of an ANC official in connection to his murder.
The party's provincial secretary confirmed to TimesLIVE that Mluleki Ndobe was taken in for questioning before he was arrested on Sunday.
Magaqa died from injuries related to gunshot wounds in September 2017 after an assassination attempt two months prior. His friends said he was attacked because he intended to expose corruption in his district municipality.
On social media many remembered the contribution Magaqa made in his community and to the ANC.
#SindisoMagaqa I can't wait personally for this perpetrators to go down we lost a real soldier in Magaqa. Long live the spirit of Sindiso Magaqa ✊

As terrible as apartheid was, I don’t remember their racist leaders/ members killing each other for positions and money. Are we worse than those people? #SindisoMagaqa

#SindisoMagaqa story is a bit similar to that of Chris Hani, only with Hani his fellow comrades colluded with the enemy to advance themselves. Abo Judas are always within your circle never outside #JusticeForSindisoMagaqa

@MYANC has went from a revolutionary party to a sanctuary for criminals, a criminal syndicate. The ANC died with Mama Winnie et al, what is left now is a shadow of it's former self. Long live #SindisoMagaqa long love.
