From Cheryl Zondi's media briefing on the possibility of her taking the witness stand again in the Timothy Omotoso trial to an attempted gold heist, these are five top videos you may have missed this week.

Gold heist

Police are hunting for seven to 10 suspects in connection with an attempted gold heist on the R21 highway near Boksburg on Tuesday.

A vehicle driven by two men who were transporting gold was sprayed with bullets. 

Countries send aid to Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe

South Africa, Angola and Botswana are among the countries that have volunteered to help Zimbabwe following the devastating Cyclone Idai, said Zimbabwean president, Emmerson Mnangagwa. 

Geng Shuang, deputy director of the foreign ministry for the Chinese government, said they, too, would be sending aid to the affected countries.

A homeless man touched hearts when he took it upon himself to direct traffic during power outages at  the intersection of Hunt and King Dinuzulu roads on Durban's Berea.

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) demonstrated  the power of locally manufactured ammunition on Wednesday when it teamed up with Rheinmetall Denel Munition at an event in Arniston, Western Cape.

Cheryl Zondi, who has accused Jesus Dominion International church leader Timothy Omotoso of sexual assault, held a press briefing on Tuesday, where she spoke on how she felt about the possibility of taking to the witness stand again.

The National Prosecuting Authority said the Omotoso trial may have to start from scratch after Judge Mandela Makaula recused himself.
