Thieves took a lot when they robbed a Takealot van in Weltevreden Park

Several parcels were stolen from a Takealot delivery team in Weltevreden Park in Johannesburg at the weekend.

Julie-Anne Walsh, Takealot's chief marketing officer, said no employees were harmed during the incident, but a number of parcels were stolen.

"All affected customers are being informed and will be given the option of either receiving a replacement of their original order if stock is available, or a credit or refund to the value of their items," said Walsh.

The incident happened on Sunday.

Gauteng police could not immediately comment on the incident.
