Video footage of a bystander interrupting an SABC reporter during a live broadcast has gone viral, spawning laughs for eternity.

The reporter was in Alexandra doing a live crossing to the studio on the service delivery protests on April 8.

Despite the bystander's repeated attempts to distract him as well as someone else trying to chase the man away, the reporter kept calm.

Residents in Alexandra have been protesting over high crime levels in the area and a lack of service delivery.

Government officials have been at loggerheads over who is responsible for the township's problems.
