Wine, weapons, cigarettes and drugs found at Eldorado Park schools
Two pupils have been arrested after they were found in possession of live ammunition and dangerous weapons at a school in Eldorado Park, Johannesburg, police said on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Cpt Nomvula Mbele said the two pupils aged 17 and 16, were later released into the care of their parents.
The pupils are expected to appear in court soon.
Police had been conducting weekly raids at all the high schools in the area.
Knives, lighters, wine, cigarettes and dangerous weapons are some of the items that were seized during the raids.
