Violence in parts of the Cape Flats has subsided since gang leaders were arrested 18 months ago.

This is according to a Cape Town High Court acting judge Johan de Waal, who denied bail to the alleged leader of the Terrible Josters, Horatio “Voudie” Solomons, who is due to go on trial in May on 71 counts including murder, drug dealing and contraventions of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.
