"Unplanned breakdowns" at the Medupi power station have once again left South Africans in the dark.
Eskom confirmed that South Africans would experience stage 2 load-shedding in an effort to prevent a complete blackout.
This is the first instance of load-shedding since March.
Eskom COO Jan Oberholzer has stated that the power cuts may carry over into next week.
