Corruption probe: Mkhwebane lets top politicians off the hook

Public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has closed a number of investigations into several high-ranking political leaders – including former speaker of parliament Baleka Mbete, former energy minister Tina Joemat-Petterson and former communications minister Faith Muthambi.

And the protector says she has reports to explain the “rationale” behind her decision.
