Mom ropes in protector after son booted from Wits

A mother who has been embroiled in a protracted battle with Wits University over her son’s expulsion from its medical school has taken her fight to the public protector’s office.

She claims the medical school’s controversial standard-setting process for tests and exams prejudices school leavers.
