COVID-19 WRAP | SA records 3,184 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours

Dr Zweli Mkhize released the latest Covid-19 stats for SA on Saturday evening, with 3,184 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus recorded in the past 24 hours.
The total coronavirus cases for the country now stands at 1,473,700 with 46,180 Covid-19 related deaths.
The cumulative recoveries in SA since the start of the outbreak is 1,340,497

WATCH | Man arrested during beach protest to 'end lockdown'
A man at a protest against the national lockdown was arrested on Saturday after allegedly pulling off a television journalist's face mask at the beach in Fish Hoek.
The man, who was not wearing a mask when he was taken into custody, was put in the back of a police van after the alleged incident involving eNCA reporter Monique Mortlock.

Malaysia reports 3,847 new coronavirus cases with 12 new deaths
Malaysia reported 3,847 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections to 238,721.
The health ministry also reported 12 new deaths, taking the total number of fatalities to 857.

Brazil Covid-19 deaths rise above 230,000
Brazil registered 1,239 COVID-19 deaths on Friday and 50,872 additional cases, according to data released by the nation's Health Ministry.
The South American country has now registered 9,447,165 total confirmed coronavirus cases and 230,034 deaths.It was the fourth consecutive day that Brazil registered over 1,200 coronavirus deaths.
