Six people were killed and six injured in an accident involving two taxis on the D19 road near Seshego on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at 4.25pm.
“Preliminary reports indicate that one of the minibuses was attempting to overtake while facing oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision,” a spokesperson for the Limpopo transport and community safety department said.
Two people were seriously injured while four others sustained minor injuries, the spokesperson added
The D19 road remained closed while emergency services and traffic officers responded to the scene.
