Is this moth divine or devilish?

A moth in Texas has sparked some debate over whether the pattern on its wings looks like Jesus - or the devil.

“It didn’t dawn on me until I snapped the picture. At first it looked like Jesus- and I still think it looks like Jesus,” Yvonne Esquilin told KXAN after sending them the picture.

“I believe this was a sign,” she said. “God is letting me know Good News is Coming and to keep the Hope.”

Equilin's view however isn't the only one - some believe the image to be of the devil, others figure it looks like Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon. We think it looks kind of like Saruman from The Lord of the Rings.

One commenter on the KXAN article meanwhile believes that it is a remarkable sign of evolution at work.

"The markings make it blend in with all the other Jesus pictures in Texas, giving it an evolutionary advantage over those sporting the periodic table pattern," commenter Aerial View said.

What species is it though? It is an imperial moth - which often has a unique pattern on its wings that can look like a face.
