Driver taken into custody after incident at chancellery in Berlin

Police in Berlin have taken the driver of a car that crashed into the gate of Chancellor Angela Merkel's office into custody, police said via Twitter.

Local and federal police are investigating if the driver struck the gate intentionally, police added.
