"South Africa believes the time has come to work more closely with Burundi in the country's post-conflict reconstruction and development," Maharaj said
Memorandums of understandings of existing relations in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, trade and investment, higher education and defence will be signed.
A business delegation accompanying Zuma included International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande, Defence and Military Veterans Minister Lindiwe Sisulu and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Thandi Tobias-Pokolo.
