Exhibition space at the ANC's national elective conference in Mangaung later this year is almost sold out, which could mean income of R10 million for the ruling party.

The ANC had been wary of providing information about exhibitors and tariffs, but according to the content of a brochure distributed to business enterprises, six packages were available, Beeld reported.

The titanium package cost R500,000, while the nickel package cost R25,000.

The titanium package guaranteed seating at the main table at the state banquet; prominent display of a company banner at the banquet, and exhibition space and admission to the VIP business lounge.

According to the newspaper, paying business executives would be pampered in a marquee with a top-class restaurant.

They would also have time to converse with ANC decision-makers about the economy and general policy at a dinner and various business breakfasts where ministers would be the guest speakers.

Beeld reported that on Saturday, December 15, President Jacob Zuma would host a state banquet at the University of the Free State. The few hundred R2500 a person tickets for the event had already sold out.
