Minister of Home Affairs Naledi Pandor has become the Acting President of the Republic of South Africa.
Normally the position would be filled by Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe but he is leading the South African delegation to the South Africa-China Bi-National Commission meeting in the People's Republic of China.
Pandor will remain in the position until President Jacob Zuma gets back from the Democracy Republic of Congo on Wednesday.
