EFF considering bursary schemes to send cadres to university
The Economic Freedom Fighters Central Command Team has decided to encourage its members to attain formal qualifications.
According to a media statement the party will also be exploring the possibility of setting up internal bursary schemes.
"In 2015, the EFF will explore possibilities of establishing an internal bursary schemes which will take Fighters and Commissars to the best Universities in South Africa, Africa, and the world to gain knowledge, skills and expertise which will ready the EFF as Government," the party said.
The party states that it will need a dedicated and skilled cadre to run the government, "with excellence, expertise and correct knowledge."
While the EFF is not the ruling party yet, it expressed a belief that its actions will be copied by other political parties.
"It is evident now that whatever the EFF does is copied by both the ruling party and opposition parties because we are a movement that has an innovative, cogent and fearless form of political engagement. They will continue to follow as we lead because we are a true movement of the people," the CCT said in its statement.
