EFF provincial leader bid to have suspension overturned thrown out of court with costs

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Eastern Cape legislature leader Themba Wele was dealt a blow today when he failed to convince the Bhisho High Court to overturn his March suspension from party and the legislature. The court threw out his challenge and ordered him to pay all costs. In court papers submitted by his legal team to the high court‚ Wele had claimed that his suspension was unlawful because he was not given time by his party to oppose it.
