DA says Hanekom must explain about-turn on visa regulations review

The Democratic Alliance wants Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom to appear before Parliament’s tourism portfolio committee to explain his about-turn on a review of the new controversial visa regulations. DA shadow minister of tourism James Vos said on Monday that he had written to the chairperson of the tourism portfolio committee‚ Beatrice Ngcobo‚ requesting that she summon the minister to explain his sudden decision not to call for a review of the “job-killing” visa regulations.
