Nelson Mandela Bay Democratic Alliance (DA) mayoral candidate Athol Trollip on Tuesday called upon twitter users for a blunt conversation using the hashtag #AskAthol.
The session which lasted for an hour offered Trollip a chance to share his political campaign and to appeal to voters as he followed in the footsteps of Mmusi Maimane’s‚ #AskMmusi. This is what some of the twitter users asked‚ as well as Trollip’s responses:

His response was: “we will establish a dedicated drug and gang unit in our Metro Police service to deal with drugs and gangs”
@zilevandamme tweeted: “what is your take on Danny Jordaan being deployed to NMB? Do you think his leadership will improve governance @AtholT#AskAthol”
Trollip responded by saying: “Jordaan is another Mayor in a string of failed Mayoral cadres.”
