Nelson Mandela Bay has highest number of bucket toilets in SA: DA

Water and Sanitation Minister Nomvula Mokonyane “has chosen to abandon Nelson Mandela Bay’s people‚ and to ignore the bucket toilet crisis”‚ the Democtatic Alliance (DA) said. The party’s mayoral candidate in the metro‚ Athol Trollip‚ said his letter to the minister about the issue‚ apart from an acknowledgement of receipt‚ has received “no response”Trollip claimed the “people in this metro still use the highest number of bucket toilets in any metro in South Africa”.
