‘Phiyega’s entire disastrous career needs to be reviewed’: DA

The Democratic Alliance (DA) on Thursday said it wants the Farlam Commission-recommended inquiry into Riah Phiyega’s fitness to hold office widened to include claims of her impropriety. The party’s shadow police minister Zakhele Mbhele said this was necessary “given the damning findings of the Ministerial Reference Group (MRG)” delivered in Parliament on Wednesday “that Phiyega “is guilty of perjury‚ misconduct‚ fraud and misleading Parliament”.
