DA wants human rights probe for schools where no matrics passed

Almost half of the 12 of the 22 schools that obtained a 0% pass rate are in KwaZulu-Natal‚ the Democratic Alliance (DA) said on Monday. The remainder were “six in Gauteng‚ two in the Eastern Cape and one each in the Northern Cape and Limpopo”.While the DA’s Gavin Davis said it “must be acknowledged that in some 0% schools only one or two learners wrote” the National Senior Certificate (NSC)‚ he pointed out that “in at least 14 of the 22 0% schools 10 or more learners wrote”.
