Zuma salutes officers on National Police Day

President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday acknowledged the “sacrifices” made by the country’s police men and women and paid tribute to all those “who were killed in the course of duty”. The president’s “good wishes and those of the nation” came as the South African Police Service celebrates National Police Day‚ which this year commemorates the 21st anniversary of the promulgation of the SAPS Act of 1995.
