Mbeki blames business community for government's struggling economic policies

Former president Thabo Mbeki is accusing big business of not investing enough in the transformation of the economy‚ signalling that this coupled with the system of capitalism has contributed to the government's GEAR policy not achieving its goals.In his latest letters to the nation dealing with issues during his presidency‚ Mbeki said fundamental social transformation was required to create a non-racial‚ non-sexist and prosperous society of shared wealth in post-apartheid South Africa.
