Maimane: Arms Deal commission ignored important probes

Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane on Friday criticised the Seriti commission of inquiry into the Arms Deals for electing to ignore certain reports submitted to it. Speaking at the Noord Street taxi rank in Johannesburg‚ Maimane said the outcome of the commission – which President Jacob Zuma said on Thursday had found there was “not a single iota of evidence” of bribery involving officials or ministers – was “deeply disappointing”.
